Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-17

This policy explains how getfaro.dev processes personal data. It covers this website only. The faro application has no telemetry; see How it works.

Controller

Sergiu Pușcaș (srg [dot] pscs [at] gmail [dot] com), Switzerland.

Data we process

We don’t have accounts, forms or newsletters, and we collect nothing else.

The demo

The demo on the home page runs entirely in your browser, with made-up contacts. Nothing you type in it is sent to us or anyone else, and it doesn’t connect to Signal.

Purposes and legal basis

We process server logs to operate and secure the site and to fix problems. We process visit statistics to understand how many people visit and which parts of the page they use. Both are based on our legitimate interests under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies and local storage

We use no cookies. Your browser’s local storage keeps your light/dark choice and, if you opt out of analytics, that choice. Neither is sent to us.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics (Community Edition), which we host ourselves on the same server as this site. No third party receives your data.

Processors and transfers

None. The site and its analytics run on privately operated infrastructure in Switzerland, and no data is transferred abroad. If you email the contact address, your message is handled by Google (Gmail), which may process it outside Switzerland.

Retention

Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Aggregate statistics contain no personal data and are kept for as long as they are useful.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of, restriction of, or object to the processing of your personal data. Contact srg [dot] pscs [at] gmail [dot] com. You may also complain to your competent data protection authority.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to the server and its logs is restricted.

Changes

We may update this policy when the site or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
